Is timing important in calorie consumption to burn fat?

I'm working out every day and my goal is to lose fat (currently about 20%) and gain muscle at the same time. I'm 191cm/6'3 and weigh 93kg/205lbs. I burn approximately 3900 calories a day, and my current meal plan gives me 3300 calories (50/20/30) a day. But today I began to wonder, does it help me if I consume my calories so that I will not eat more at a time than I have already burned?

For example, by 4 PM today I had consumed 2700 calories and my Apple Watch showed that I have burned 2050 calories. Would that mean I'm not in a fat-burning state due to caloric surplus at a given time?

Not at all. It's the overall calories consumed versus burned, not the timing of the events.

I don't watch my AW that closely for calorie estimates but when I do look it seems to run either too high or too low.

Timing does not matter for weight loss.

You are unlikely to make much progress building muscle while in a calorie deficit. You should strength train though to preserve and tone.
