OK, I'm 137 pounds, down from 195. Trying to get to 135 and maintain.
With my calories and exercise this week I should've lost about half a pound, but instead I'm getting such a thick jelly belly all of a sudden. What gives? I mean, I should at least be maintaining, if not losing weight. Suggestions?

Every time I'm about to drop weight I get 'squishy' because there's less solid fat holding all that muscle and skin firm.
A little exercise and a little time and it goes away. I think of it as a sign of good things to come.0 -
That sounds like bloat to me...if you've just increased your calories to around maintenance, it is not unusual to retain a bit more water and thus have some bloating initially.0
