DDPYOGA

Hi everyone!
Took quite a bit of time off - now getting back into DDPYOGA! How do you all add to MFP, do you use a Fitbit or other smart watch? And, how do you figure out calories burned? I use a Fitbit Versa but when exercising there’s no “ddpyoga” to calculate. Just wondering what everyone else is doing. ☺️

    Just set your Fitbit to 'general workout'.

    I can start and stop a yoga workout on my Fitbit. I believe on mine, I had to select the 5 workouts I wanted to show up on my watch.

    From the MFP database, I use "Stretching, hatha yoga" for gentle yoga/warmups and "Calisthenics, home, light/moderate effort" for something more vigorous like Sun Salutations. What I usually do is divide the total time in half and give each half to each category.

    DDP Yoga is much different from traditional yoga. So I wouldnt compare calories burned between the two.

    Depends on which DDP yoga routines you're doing. The beginner stuff is probably around 250-300 an hour depending on age/weight/gender, akin to light cardio as far as calorie burn, I would say. The intermediate stuff, well, you can make up a number, more than 300 and less than 500. The advanced stuff - I have no idea, when I used to do it I'd be so sweaty and exhausted and depleted afterwards there would've been no way I could've even pick up a device to enter the data. Definitely a lot of calories. B)

    yoga=just a generic label.
    there is a hr monitor on a versa according to what i read
