Still have a small belly. I am 41 male in athletic and active shape.
I am still struggling to get that last bit gone. I am very much doing X country ski and cycling almost everyday.
Would having too much salt in my system cause this? i a gone down to 2 meals a day now and cut lots of sugar out, suggestions please

You cannot spot reduce fat. If you are in a calorie deficit consistently, then you will lose fat, but you cannot control where the body burns that fat from. For many people, belly fat is some of the last to go.

Fat loss is caused by a consistent calorie deficit, not by how many meals you eat, how much sugar you eat, or what exercise you do.

If you want to maintain your weight while building muscle and reducing body fat, then you should look into recomp.

Salt is irrelevant to fat loss. Eating more sodium than usual may cause temporary water weight retention, but it does not have anything to do with fat. However, if you frequently feel bloated or if you believe that you're seeing abnormal bloating, you should check with your doctor.
