To look at me, some wonder what I’m doing logging my food intake. At age 48, my waist size fluctuates between 30-32 inches and I wear a 42 short jacket. It’s the inside of me that needs intake discipline though. I’ve been on BP meds for a decade and recently started on cholesterol medication at age 48. I’m a hiker/backpacker and don’t have the same wind in my lungs as when I was lighter. I typically hike with 15 lbs of gear so I figure if I can drop that much, it’d be the equivalent of hiking with no pack at all. But most of all, I want to see if I can get off the BP and cholesterol meds before I’m 50. I’ve been on again off again with this. So wish me luck.
