Does the person you’re in a realationship or dating have to have the same eating habits as you for it to work. Would you date a meat eater if you were vegan, marry? Vice versa, etc. Is it a deal breaker? Are you cooking their meals? Are you giving up sugar, dairy, seafood, etc...your eating habits/lifestyle for theirs. Should you?

As long as she doesn’t judge me eating meat. I’m good. I can’t eat vegetables

Doesn't matter but if he doesn't like peaches, I'm out.

I need to see you eat it first before I make a decision.

Man I want a peach now. I would even settle for a nectarine.

If you're dating, you have to have commonalities. I would not likely date a vegan because I'm not vegan...not so much that I have a problem with veganism, but it's a moral stance so it would be more likely that the vegan simply wouldn't be interested in me as what I do goes against her moral beliefs...kind of like a deeply religious Christian is probably not going to have a whole lot in common with a heathen like myself.

If my wife suddenly decided to become vegan, hopefully it would work out...but I feel no compulsion to change the way I eat because my wife changes the way she eats (never gonna happen though)...that would be her choice and her choice alone.

My wife and I have both been on diets during our marriage at different times...neither one of us felt compelled to change what we were doing just because the other was...the would be a bit strange I think.

I'm vegetarian and my bf isn't, we never run into any problems. We make dinner together a couple nights a week and he isn't picky, he'll eat anything! I do have a sweet tooth and no self control around chocolate so currently there's see's candy in his safe hahaha (this was my request!)

I don't think you need to have the same habits for the relationship to work. I'm pescetarian and my SO eats meat. He is fine with eating fish or seafood, or even vegetarian at home. When we eat in a restaurant he usually orders a meat dish and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I've also developed an intolerance for caffeine and drink decaf coffee and tea, he drinks regular. Does it make a difference to the relationship? No.

When he was trying to lose weight, I made an effort to keep high calorie snacks and sweets at work instead of in the house because I know he has a weakness for that stuff and I didn't need to be waving it in his face.
