My Holiday Challenge (Swimming like a fish)

Hi everyone, so i thought id tell anyone that wants to know about my holiday challenge,

Im going on holiday to spain on the 28th august and im back on the 12th,
14 Whole days, and i doubt ill be able to get on mfp as much as i would like, but i will TRY (please let there be free wifi somewhere!)

Ok so what im thinking is too do some sort of swim challenge, bare in mind im going to be drinking cocktails, fishbowls going out to eat ect, however im not going to be ridiculous and have chips,ice-cream and burgers every single day, Good thing is i love chicken and i love salads, so there should be plenty of that around!

I wanted to ask if anyone has any ideas (a mini goal) for me, to have whilst im on holiday, We have a pool (its not massive) but plently big enough to swim in. Should swim a certain amount of length everyday, i need something im going to stick too that isnt going to literally drain me from having a good time on holiday.

i really hope i can loose some when im away just with all the extra exercise i would be able to get for free, like swimming and walking to the beach..

Thanks to anyone who posts on this message board, i really appreciate any suggestions :-)
Oh btw i weigh 291lbs and im 5ft6 (lost 31lbs so far)

Have a fab week

Just go for it and spend as much time in the water as you can. It's great exercise for two reasons, for one your weight is supported by the water, but two you have to keep moving to keep afloat, particularly if you are upright in the water. Personally ask me to do 50 lengths or something and I would just get bored. Get a couple of mates in the pool with a ball and you don't even know you're exercising. One thing that might be fun if it is a small pool is swimming one way under the water as close to the bottom as you can, and the way back on top. Quite strenuous, particularly the underwater section, and varies things a bit. But mainly enjoy your holiday
