Or save it as a meal.

Recipe: only gives recipe name in your diary.
    Baked Ziti 300 g 500 calories

Meal: lists each individual ingredient in your diary.
    Penne 56 g 200 calories
    Tomato sauce 35 g 60 calories
    Mozzarella 28 g 120 calories
    Etc

I just made up numbers, BTW.

    Hope that helps.

    1. Create a recipe from the meal with each item as an ingredient.
    2. Save the meal from quick tools.
    3. "copy to today" from the quick tools on a past meal.

Remember, you can name the recipe whatever you want. I always add the serving size to the name of my recipe.

For example, I make grilled chicken all the time. When I’m creating the recipe, I will weigh the raw chicken and the marinade to enter my ingredients. Then, once the meal is cooked, I’ll weigh it again. If that entire tray of chicken now weighs 50 oz, I will enter “50” in the “number of servings” section of the recipe. I will also name my recipe something like: “Grilled Chicken w/herb marinade SS - 1oz”. So, when I’m taking my portion of the meal, I’ll weigh it and enter the appropriate serving in my diary.

FYI - my diary is open if you’d like to see an example. Also, I know I should switch to grams instead of ounces to be more accurate, but I haven’t done that yet.
