HIIT--what counts?

I started doing the 9 minute strength workout described in the NY Times, and I'm not sure how to log it--is it HIIT for 9 minutes, vigorous calisthenics, or what?

That's certainly not HIIT. I wouldn't log it as vigorous calisthenics either. Personally, I skip logging things like body-weight resistance squats and planks.1

Maybe log it as strength training in the cardiovascular category, or consider circuit training as a possible logging option.0

If you were doing close to maximal effort cardio for very short intervals then that could be HIIT but as you describe it as strength training then I strongly suspect it's not HIIT.
You could try explaining what exercises you actually did in your workout which would help.
Suggestions:
Log as strength training (in CV part of diary) if you have significant pauses between exercises.
Log as calishthenics if it's bodyweight stuff.
Log as circuit training if it's brisk paced lifting (with no or short pauses) with dumbbells etc.0
