Calories from workout not adding to my daily log?

I am sure it has something to do with my settings . A few years ago it added my calories burned to my daily goal and now it’s not doing that. I turned off the iPhone steps tracked thinking it would adjust but it hasn’t. (I don’t hold my iPhone enough to track acccurately)
I would love to know how to get it to work the way it used to

Did you choose another app/device to sync your steps? You won't get an adjustment unless you've something detecting your steps.
For your other workouts you need to add them manually/or have something else synced that is tracking your activities.1
