Does anyone know if the measuring cup used to measure 1 cup of milk can be used to measure 1 cup of rice? When I do this...it seems like it's too much rice for 1 cup.......please help.

I always use the same cup for measuring both liquids and solids like rice.0

1 cup is 1 cup... I use the same measuring tools for all my foods.0

I cup of cooked rice is not the same as 1 cup of dry (uncooked) rice. If you are trying to measure a cup of rice for calorie counting, it should be the cooked version. Rule of thumb, generally will double in portion when cooked.0

it would be the same if you're measuring cooked rice0

One thing to keep in mind, uncooked rice and cooked rice measure different. "Standard cooking for rice is two to one."
