Find it easier to stay on cutting diet than a bulking one?

Anyone else find it that they’re more zoned in and dedicated if that’s the word to staying on their cutting diet than if they were on a bulk? I always find every time I bulk I can’t stick to it most the time even though it’s overall more food and end up overeating, it’s sort of been a problem with me and ends up leading to unnecessary fat gain. Although it’s an excuse at the end of the day what’s everyone’s thoughts and experiences?

Cutting is definitely easier for me. The visual results, feeling comfortable (I hate feeling too full). It can become a bit crappy when I am very close to goal, gym performance isn't as good or the deficit is a bit larger. But a small diet break and it's all good.

As for bulking, I hate eating so much and it gets uncomfortable, putting on weight and eventually losing definition is a mind trip. I find keeping the gain around 1.5-2lb per month helps with fat gain. But I love the results so I keep my eye on the prize.
  • I find maintaining easier than losing and gaining. Less stress.
