3 Simple Rules (40lb+ Lost)

Hey guys,
Wanted to share 3 EASY rules that have made the difference between me loosing and gaining weight ... EVERY time without fail...

1) NEVER EVER GO SHOPPING ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.....

Have a banana before you go shopping.... and watch the difference as you shop.. you wont buy cr@p.... which means you don't have it in the house so the dieting is much easier... crave away - it dont matter if you dont have junk in the house....

2) ALWAYS LOG YOUR EATING.....

It helps you keep perspective when having treat days etc etc....

3) DRINK PLENTY....

Youll want to eat less....

THE BONUS) DO NOT STRESS ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS.....

Stressing = Gains - even if youre good sometimes, try it and see..... have 1 day a week off from the diet, but follow rules 1 to 3 still... This way if you see something naughty but nice, you can think "ill have that on treat day".... chances are you wont want as much anyway as youll be burning through that preshopping snack....

These are the easiest rules in the world to follow, and i believe that weight can be lost using these methods alone... Try it and post how you feel after a week here... i CHALLENGE YOU.

    thanks for sharing...the biggest challenge for me is finding the right amount of calories to log...

    It can be very hard, youll see on my diary, treats aside ive struggled since having less calories, but keep logging anyway, you can see what has and hasnt worked then, ie now i can see if i stick to alpen for breakfast and beans on toast for lunch, i still have a lot of flexibility when it comes to tea time
  • When I started to lose weight I also adapted three rules which have worked for me.

    I had to do this because none of the traditional diets would have worked for me since I am allergic to chlorophyll and so can't eat green vegetables or salad.

    Rule 1:- Aim to eat one meal a day of the fruit and vegetables I am allowed to eat.

    Rule 2:- Drink 3 litres a day, at least 2 litres must be water.

    Rule 3:- (the most important for me) It is NOT a diet, it is a lifestyle change so if you miss a day then don't stress about it!

    Now I am getting closer to my target weight (well my first target anyway) I am adding in rule 4:-

    "Use MFP and log EVERYTHING"
