20+ lbs in 30 day Challenge

Just entered in to a company sponsored weight loss challenge. I have never dieted but imagine I have 30+ to loss. Is 20lbs in a month realistic with stringent diet and exercise?

    Sure, if you want to gain it all back, plus some and feel like crap for 30 days.

    But seriously, absolutely not. You should be aiming at .5 - 1.5 lbs per week, depending on your personal goals, current weight and goal weight.
