Old but new

I’m back to MFP after 2 years.I lost 20 lbs last time and was so happy with my progress. A lot of changes in the past 2 years for me. I was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer on March 14, 2019 and had a bowel resection surgery on May 8 to remove the tumour. Food has been a huge issue for me since the surgery. There are so many things that I can no longer eat...raw fruit and veggies, nothing too gassy and only small portions of protein at a time. I was never a big carb eater but honestly, I would have starved if it wasn’t for white bread and rice for quite some time after my surgery. I’ve gained weight and am at my all time heaviest at 175 lbs. It’s time to start moving more and eating less. Thank goodness I am healthy now and all my test results have been good since the surgery. I’m hoping that I will be able to say I am cancer free on my 1 year post surgery checkup. 2019 was the year I was at my weakest but I want 2020 to be the year I am at my strongest. Wish me luck! 😀
