Learning to estimate!

I went out of town for 27 days recently. I'd forgotten my MFP login and PW, also forgotten the login and PW to the old email account I used when I signed up. So I couldn't log in to track food. I stayed with my DIL and son for 3 weeks and was on the road for a week. I bought and ate my usual foods for breakfast & lunch and ate what my DIL cooked for dinner (usually a pasta- and fat-heavy casserole) - and I just estimated the best I could - for a whole month - and I continued to lose my usual 1 lb. per week!! On the way home we even ate breakfast at the hotel buffets and dinner at restaurants, and again all I did was estimate and pay attention to how hungry I was. I am so thrilled because this is proof that my relationship with food is finally changing!

That is fantastic! You have internalized the skills required to lose or maintain your weight. Just don't let it go to your head (or your stomach or your thighs). LOL. All kidding aside, you have accomplished something that many people never do. Bravo!0
