Calories in a Burrito?

Hi so I’m going out for dinner with my boyfriend tonight (yay) but... I want a burrito so that’s what I’m gonna have.
Usually in my burrito there is
- large wrap
- Cilantro rice
- Pinto beans (light)
- spicy chicken
- Fajita veg
- Lettuce
How many calories do you reckon would be in that? The chain doesn’t have nutritional info! Thanks!

We have no idea what the quantity is, so it's going to be hard to tell. If the portions are Chipotle-sized, you can use their nutritional calculator to estimate. Just choose your ingredients there and it will tell you what the meal would be if you got it at Chipotle.
Otherwise, you can find individual database entries for the components and estimate how much of each are in your burrito.
Typically for a restaurant burrito, I would estimate about 800 calories. That's a very rough estimate though.6 -
At Chipotle, you're looking at about 865 for that burrito: https://www.chipotle.com/nutrition-calculator1

Hi!! Yea I was thinking around 800cal but I think I’m just gonna log it at around 900. I don’t like guac or sour cream or anything so I suppose it defo won’t be over 1000. Thanks2

900 sounds like a good estimate.
Enjoy your burrito -- they're one of my favorite foods!2 -
Yeah, there's usually going to be a bit of guessing on fast food and restaurant food.
Either you can look up each individual ingredient and piece together a guess or you can use another chain restaurant calorie number and adjust it to suit what you think is appropriate.
This is all about making a best guess if/when you eat food prepared by someone else.
This is one reason why using a digital food scale at home is so useful. With a little time of using it you'll be able to guess quite well at any food made anywhere.2 -
You could estimate the amount of each item and enter those separately to get an estimated calorie amount. Or try a chain like Chipotle and use that as an estimate. For this reason I have chosen not to eat out unless I can get nutritional information. I have found that most places even if the calories are low the sodium is high.
Do your best to estimate the calories. Have a great dinner and have fun!0
