I am just starting to post my calorie intake public, it’s an accountability for me.
Anytime I up the mileage or the speed and intensity of my daily walk I usually struggle that first day.
Given that I dropped 18 lbs. my first 30 days doing no exercise, I’m confident I’ll be ok now adding a workout regime.
As always
Rock on everyone.

The weight you lost in the first month is (hopefully) largely water weight. 4.5 pounds per week of fat loss would not be safe for anyone unless they had immediate, serious health problems and were under very close medical supervision. Additionally, increasing your exercise can lead to temporary water retention as part of the normal muscle repair process.

This is not to discourage you--just the opposite, in fact. Some people get very discouraged when their pace of loss slows down. Just know that a slower pace of loss will happen and that it's a good thing :)

Other than that, just make sure that you are increasing your exercise gradually and not doing more than your body is ready for, and that you're eating back a reasonable estimate of your exercise calories. Those things will help prevent injury and make sure you're fueling your workouts properly.

    Thank you,
My expectation was 6 to 9 pounds the first month.
    I was really shocked!
I have an expectation of reality which is maybe 1.5 lbs. per week.
