Single Mamas

Any single mama's managing to keep the weight off and live an active/healthy lifestyle?
Would really appreciate any/all tips!
I try to meal plan but with housework, a full-time job and a 2 y.o. it gets really hectic sometimes!
Honestly, even though my wallet doesn't approve, I just go out to eat just because it will give me one less thing to do that day (not proud of it at all).
I spent the past two months decluttering/organizing/redecorating my home and honestly, that has helped my mental health a lot and have been cooking at home much more. l still find it hard to squeeze in workouts. Thankfully my kid isn't a picky eater so that helps.
Are there any active activities y'all like to do with your kids to burn serious calories and entertain your kid at the same time?
Thanks in advance
P.S. : They weren't kidding that being a single mom is a super power forreal!!

Oh man, am I hearing this! My hat goes off to you. Being a single parent is really challenging, especially when your little one is so little. My daughter is 7 now and life is easier. But I remember when she was wee and how hard working out was while working full time and dealing with ALL OF THE THINGS! I remember just fantasizing about working out, but most times that I had any free time, I would spend it in a hot bath, usually crying just to release.

Give yourself some credit. You have a vision of what you want, and hang on to that. Keep moving toward it; but avoid judging yourself for not always being there. You are doing so much that I would consider refocusing on wellness (including prizing mental health successes, personal time victories, and other non-weight related wins) over weight loss. However, weight loss, if it makes you feel powerful and positive, should still be on the journey. I find that when you carry the world, expanding your map of what counts as success is a blessing.

I'm a single mom to 3 kids and work full-time. I try and cook two dinners during the week and we eat leftovers the other nights. Usually those two dinners are tacos and then something from the crockpot (roast, chili, chicken noodle soup). We also have breakfast for dinner one night. I have a treadmill at home so try and jog twice and week and do some exercise video on youtube twice a week. My kids are older (10, 8 and 7 years old) so when it's decent outside we out out and play soccer, tag, walk the dog, etc.

If you can try an exercise video I bet your little one will try to do all of the moves with you. My little guy loves to instruct me on yoga moves. Sometimes I just let him be my trainer, he picks up a lot from the videos.
