I've been fighting a plateau since July. The same 5 lbs losing and gaining it right back. I'm stuck at 185 and 45 years young. (shhh..... Don't tell anyone. I tell everyone I'm 39)
I've tried lots of exercise, backing off exercise, upping calories to 1500 lowering calories (never below 1200)
Hormones checked out and fine.
I need help busting through.

Do you use a food scale, weighing and logging everything you eat? No skipping, cheating, or forgetting?

Excluding some rare medical conditions which it sounds like you don't have (the good news!), there is only one way to plateau for 6 months: eating at a maintenance calorie level. You can't be in a calorie deficit for half a year and not lose weight.
Time to break out the food scale and some measuring cups for liquids, and really drill down on what's going into your mouth each day.
If you're taking cheat meals/days, that's probably the answer right there. I have occasionally wiped out an entire week or 10 days of weight loss in one off-meal; it does happen. Gotta really count and log everything diligently to get to the root of a plateau situation.5 -
I will go back to basics and hopefully see a change. My next goal is 175 so to be "almost there" for this entire time is super frustrating!
