Remember to not focus too much on the number you see on the scale, the scale doesn't tell you the full story. If you are exercising hard, lifting, playing sports, etc. you could be putting on muscle. It is best to use the scale in conjunction with a measuring tape. I do recommend a ribbon or cloth tape measure over a metal one.
Together the two tell a better story and you can even track it on your profile.
I measure my waistline, neck, chest, biceps, forearms, thighs and calves. The main thing for most people to track are the neck and waist, the ladies may also want to measure their hips, as the hips don't lie.
