Heart Rate Monitors

I would like to start monitoring my heart rate on the treadmill and during weight lifting. However, I dont like the chest straps. I was curious if anyone had any recommendations on HR monitors that are strapless or easy to put on and off? Looking for something that is accurate as well.

Your only option that is easy to use AND accurate are upper arm opticals. Scosche Rhythm, Polar OH1, Wahoo Tickr Fit1

FWIW I've never had good luck with a variety of HR monitors in terms of accuracy. The gamechanger for me was a TDEE spreadsheet I found on the r/Fitness subreddit. Log accurately and weigh yourself daily, it spits out an average TDEE number which I have found to be very accurate based on observed weight trends. Prior to switching to this black box methodology I was using a highly regarding Polar chest strap HR monitor and getting what turned out to be way too many calories. YMMV1
