My name is Joanne. I was just diagnosed with type two diabetes after having a severe case of influenza. I spent 4 days in ICU with horrible blood levels. An other 4 days on a regular floor. I was anemic, low sodium, potasium, magnisium and sugars off the chart. AC1 was 16. I was testing my sugar everyday from August to December to a reaction to steroids, my levels were in normal range. I was told its miracle I am alive. I have already lost 100 pounds on my own last year but carb counting frustrates me. I used this app years ago and it helped count calories but now I am using it to count carbs. When weather permits I am known for walking over 16,000 steps a day. I was told 1000 was my goal by my new doctor and I laughed. I hate being judged by my size because my size does not dictate my physical strength. "Walking is life".
I am hoping to conquer losing the rest of this weight. I have hypothyroidism that does not help the process. I have reasons to be motivated, they are my grandbabies!
Here is hoping I can beat this with your help!
