Jackie advice on calories and weight.

I am 5'6" and 58, not very active... I currently weigh 208 and wonder what people think I should weigh and the number of calories a day. My goal is 165, and am currently on a 1500 count. I have lost 2.5 in 1 week as I also cut out chocolate and any sweets. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a good plan to start with. You are losing weight in the first week. Why not stick with this plan for six weeks, evaluate your rate of loss, and make adjustments from there? Your own data will be far more accurate than any online calculator or random forum commenter.5

Stick your weigh ins in a trending weight app or web site so that you can observe your weight trend and be able to adjust your weight loss rate goals based on your trends and logging after a few weeks... assuming you feel the need to do so and it is appropriate because you're going a bit too fast or a bit too slow or are having issues with compliance or just want to experiment!
Your general plan sounds reasonable. Final goals can be adjusted but your initial one doesn't have anything egregiously wrong with it. In spite of being in the slightly overweight range it is at a level that offers few extra health risks for most people of that height and weight and in your age group.
As / if you get more active you may want to even increase your food intake to make sure your workouts and daily activities are well fuelled while you still keep losing weight as per your plan.2
