Newbie Looking For Support

Hi all. I'm a pure newbie at this kind of online thing so please excuse me if I seem pretty dumb at times.
I've tried various diets over the years, lost lots of weight, only to put it back on. I've had the best results when I closely monitored my daily food intakes. To do that, I put together an Excel spreadsheet and a bit of programming to keep track of the food I ate and the goals I wanted to meet each day. I just started doing this again, today, and was looking for how I could port my little homegrown app to work on an Android tablet when I stumbled across myfitnesspal.com.
Wow! This is exactly what I had been doing plus lots more. And I'm sold on the idea that you can get the best results by sharing your experiences with others who are doing the same. Let's become virtual friends and give each other the support and help we all need.
