Hi everyone! I just joined! Nice to meet you all. Good luck with your goals. Are you trying to follow a certain calorie limit or is there a certain way you’re trying to meet your goals? I’m trying to stick with Whole Foods, lots of veggies, high protein, and 1300-1400 calories a day. I’ll let you know how that goes! I’d love to hear what you’re trying

I think you probably need to re-evaluate your goals, it's only 6 and half months til September (and less time to if you have dress fittings in that timeline a couple of weeks beforehand). Not sure what your stats are but the highest recommended rate of loss is 2lbs per week, if you're morbidly obese you may be safe losing faster than that (after discussing with a doctor).
The rate of loss needed to lose on your timeline is an average of 3.8lbs per week, that would require a 1900 calorie deficit from your Mainteance intake, which will most likely leave you malnourished and at risk of health problems. Presumably you want to look healthy on your wedding day without thinning hair, dull skin and brittle nails.
You can probably achieve around 60 pounds loss by your wedding (factoring in a large water weight drop) and if you include some strength training, make some great changes to your body composition.

more realistic and safer goal would be around 50-60 lbs by Sept. Still, you would have to be very strict with staying at your calorie deficit goal. I personally had 100 lbs to lose. I was way more aggressive at the beginning when I was obese at around 3-4 lbs a week (not really safest, I know now)...I've lost 95 lbs since last April put tapered off tremendously after 5-6 months. During that time, I never went over my calories. I weighed every piece of food I ate, still do. Good luck.3

I’m jumping on the “Slow Down” bandwagon for different reasons than the other commenters (although they both have valid points). My concern about this kind of rapid weight loss is that if you do make your goal, you’re going to have a lot of extra skin. It may be genetics, but I lost 80 pounds 25 years ago and I’m now 55 pounds down with 50 to go and I don’t have saggy skin because I go slow. I’ll lose 10-20 pounds and then maintain for a while before losing again. This helps me to take the weight off easier, keep from regaining, and give my body the chance to adjust. Although it’s natural to want to look your best at your wedding, if you are able to meet this difficult goal the chances of you gaining it back are almost certain. I watched my grandma destroy her metabolism through intense dieting and she was eventually gained weight if she ate more than 1200 calories and would drop down to 600 pounds for a weight loss of 1/2 a pound a week. In the long run, you’d be happier putting your wedding off for a while or just accepting that you’ll look a little bigger in your pictures than you’d like.
As for as my diet, I do something different every 25 pounds. This time I lost 25 pounds by not eating while I was super stressed. I lost another 25 pounds with keto, and I’m now counting calories (1600 a day). I started about 2 years ago and I’m hoping to reach my goal within 12-18 months, with several months in between for maintenance. I don’t think everyone should move as slowly as me, but like I learned from Grandma- life is too stinking short to be dieting all the time! You asked for tips and what you’re doing now is the “right” way to do it! Whole foods, protein, fresh fruits and veggies. Not only are you choosing a healthy way to lose weight, you’re choosing a good way to eat for the rest of your life. By looking at your picture, I think you’re going to be a beautiful bride even if you don’t lose a pound. You’re beautiful!2 -
