How many calories on average is the goal for most of you... Is 1200 enough...and is 55 considered 50ish 😃

Don't have enough information to know if 1200 is enough for you. Not sure what the context is for your question about your age?
1200 is the lowest calorie goal possible for MFP guided set up and is based on the information that you have input.
Put in your stats, be honest about your activity level, sedentary is really only applicable to those who sit down all day, not just at work/school, it's equivalent to around 3000 steps per day.
Choose a suitable rate of loss:

3,000 to 3,500 cals is my goal.
Because my needs and goals are different to yours.
Not seeing why an average is helpful for goal setting for an individual but for interest only 2,000 is often stated as a mythical average needs for women and 2,500 for men.
PS - is 59 and 51 weeks regarded as 50'ish?1 -
