Step counting

I always log my gym exercise, but should additional steps recorded on my step counter (generally at least 10,000 per day) or do the steps count as normal activity?

They are covered by the activity level you chose when setting up your account. If you have an activity tracker synced to your account they will be automatically accounted for in your Calorie Adjustment.
If it's not synced you should be set as Active activity level to account for that amount of steps.0
