Hi my name is Kitty. I’m new to MFP and trying to build a supportive friends list. I’m 55 yrs old and from Sandy Hook CT. I’m a lifelong yo-yo dieter always following the Weight Watchers plan. I’ve recently went to a hypnotist trying something different! Along with the tools I gained during my session, he suggested this app. So for the first time in my life I’m counting calories! The biggest eye opener is staying within the parameters of nutrition- sugar and sodium! I also have been a life long loather of exercise! This has put me into the most unhealthy state I’ve ever been in. But, I want be healthy, drop 75lbs by my birthday in December! It’s a huge number but I have broken it down into smaller goals. I’m ever so slowly adding small walks into my days as well as at home yoga! Tomorrow will mark my 4 week mark. I’m feeling better and a bit stronger... I want to be able to more easily play with my grandkids when they come along!!!
Anyone out there have similar stories? Would you like to friend me so we can help cheer each other on?

Choosing health and love in Sandy Hook, CT -Kitty 😇💚

Good luck on your journey. I guess I'm kind of the opposite. I didn't do any real diets before MFP. I have also learned to enjoy and depend on my exercises. Once you find something you enjoy, it seems easier.

    Welcome to Mfp!

I am not a huge exerciser as well but have found a lot of good videos on YouTube. I was on a roll with Zumba class videos for awhile and now I'm doing hand weight exercise videos, it's great because I can just do it at home in my living room whenever I want. It's too cold to go outside here right now!

Stick with healthy eating and counting calories and best of luck achieving your goal!
