Pregnant and needing motivation

I am currently 26 wks pregnant and am starting my journey to a healthier me all over again. I have been using this app somewhat in order to keep my calories straight and it has helped some to keep my weight down like my Midwife wants. But I feel like I need to do more. I want to get up and move more but when I do my siactic on my right side acts up and hurts so bad. If there are any other mommas or pregnant momma out there with this problem the help will be great. Thank you 😊❤️

Congratulations! Has your midwife given you any stretches to help with the sciatic pain? My doctor did when I was pregnant. It didn't fix the issue, but did help. You might also want to look in to yoga for pregnant women. I wish I done more of that as it did help a lot with managing daily life. Pregnancy is constantly changing, so just do what you can when you can.

I had Gestational Diabetes and (other pregnancy issues) with my 4th. I saw a RD and was placed on a 2k calorie diet. I managed to not only gain a total of 15 pounds that pregnancy, was the OB specialist was astounded I kept the GD under control. I'd suggest getting a referral to an RD for help while you're pregnant. Oh, and welcome to MFP!

I started water aerobics classes when I was pregnant with my 2nd. It was a great way to get a workout in, and not have the impact. I'm still doing it 24 years later :). Check with your midwife and see if she has suggestions. You'll want to be careful as you go about not going "full tilt," but still getting a good workout.
