Cronometer

Does anyone use cronometer to track carbs for keto? How do you do it? I’m using the free app. I can’t track my carbs on here without going premium or I would just do that.

Why can't you track carbs here without going premium? Premium doesn't offer anything different in regards to carbs specifically over the free version.

You just need to subtract the fibre from carbs to get net. Very basic equation, made even easier if you change either salt of sugar in your diary to fibre, and place it alongside carbs. There are also a multitude of net carb entries in the database created by other users, just include 'net carbs' in your search term. Easy.

I use Cron, but I don't find it superior wrt carbs (it does the carbs-fiber math for you because the entries are much more limited, but I don't need the subtraction help and I can't imagine anyone else really does either). I instead use it because it's better for lots of other nutrients I care about hitting, and because I mostly eat whole foods and it's a much less cluttered and reliable database for that (although MFP's can be managed and is easier if you eat a lot of branded, packaged, or chain restaurant stuff).

On MFP, whether premium or not, IF you are in the US or Canada, the trick for net carbs is track fiber instead of sugar or sodium and do the super simple math in your head (basically, what Nony said). IMO, it's a good idea to track fiber anyway, and way more important if ketoing than sugar (at keto carb levels sugar is going to be very low no matter what).

If in another country, your carb entries may well be net carb already -- be careful about that.
