Body Fat % on Scale Barely Nudging

I've lost 12 lbs since January 1st. Yay for that. But my body fat has only gone down 1%. At this rate, I'll end up with a body fat % in the mid-30s at my goal weight. I am lifting weights, doing cardio, and averaging around 85 grams of protein a day. What am I doing wrong? What can I can to get more fat loss going?

Scales are not at all accurate for measuring body fat. Keep up what you're doing, you're losing fat!6

Shucks. What's the point of having a body fat measurement on a scale if it's not going to be accurate? Atleast now I don't have to take off my socks anymore and freeze my tootsies when getting on the scale.7

Honestly, I think the only point in having all those other measurements on home scales is purely so companies can justify the crazy high prices they charge.11 -
Those scales are totally rubbish. They don't even get in the ballpark - the last time i got on one of those, i was measure at about 14% body fat (which is like some sort of athlete!). I am definitely nowhere near that - probably more near 22%.2

Scales are very good at giving you your weight. Scales cannot accurately determine BF%. It's pretty much a gimmick. Consumer Reports won't even review them anymore.5 -
You can judge it yourself if you can grab a roll it’s too much or the pinch test lol0
