    Well your body only uses the protein it needs and the rest it doesn’t. So sometimes a lot of people consume too much protein unnecessarily. However if you are doing a lot of strengthening type exercises you need more protein to build muscle I believe. I did quite a bit of research on my own bc it’s all over the place high protein low fat, high fat low carb etc what is best? Well whatever works with your body. Sometimes you do a diet exercise regime and you gain weigh BUT lose a lot of body fat and inches some programs designed that way. You are gaining muscle and leaning out. I’m no expert but I’ve tried many things and diet types ( hence the experiment). Just read a lot of different articles about it and learn it’s all you can do really. Or consult a nutritionist who can likely tell you.
