    Are you eating at a calorie deficit (fewer calories than maintenance) ? All weight loss comes down to eating fewer calories than maintenance.

    Intermittent fasting is just an eating schedule that helps some people meet calorie goals more consistently

    "A bit lax" - it's possible to un-do your weekly deficit if you aren't tracking acurately.

    What results are you expecting to see? If you are talking about physical results it will vary from person to person. It took me close to 2 months to start feeling my clothes start to feel comfortably loose.

    If you are talking about the scale it can be as quick as a week or as long as 3 weeks.

    All of this assumes you are in a caloric deficit because IF does not, by itself, ensure weight loss. You can gain weight while eating this way too.
