Thyroid problem?0
-
Are you getting enough sleep?0
-
I was having the same problem, and found out there were 2 issues for me.
1. Gluten allergies
2. Not eating enough
I have removed Glutens from my diet and each day it is getting better and better. Keeping my calories up has still been a struggle, but I can definitely tell a difference on the days where I am closer to my calorie goals! Good luck :drinker:
Edited - you may want to talk to your Dr to see if there is something more going on with you. That's what I did, and it is making a difference.0 -
I'm pretty sure I dont get enough sleep. I am going to work on that though0
-
My reasons are slightly different - 2 year old son who doesn't like to sleep at night - but maybe I will cope better with the sleep deprivation when I exercise more0

Thyroid problem?
I was going to ask the same thing - any other symptoms?0 -
sleep and eat
de-stress - don't really have lots of info to go on lol
Good Luck!0 -
not really any more symptoms. I've never had much energy and I guess I am kinda lazy. I was always the skinny girl growing up and never did much exercising thinking I would be ok. I got married and had kids and the pounds started coming on. the last month I feel like I cant get full. Ive had my thyroid checked before and they said it was ok. I think its just because of my poor eating habits and not getting enough exercise and sleep.0

Low Iron levels?
Also what earlier responders said re getting your thyroid checked and getting enough nutritious food and sleep.
Good luck...0 -
How tired are you? This is a serious question. I have always been tired feeling but full of energy. Last year I became extremely fatigued along with a host of other symptoms. After many tests it was discovered that I had a rare brain disorder and had to have brain surgery earlier this year. Consider having a physical and some blood work done. Not trying to scare you, but it's just not worth it to write off things like this when a simple trip to the doctor will answer it.0

When I started working out I constantly felt fatigued and exhausted. My doctor recommended I start taking an iron supplement with B vitamins, and I was skeptical at first. Once I started taking them though, I immediately felt much more awake and energized. You can pick a bottle up at the store for $15, and it is totally worth it. If you are exercising and restricting calories, it's hard to get enough of the vitamins and nutrients you need without supplementation.0

Eat properly, drink enough (water!! not the other stuff!!:drinker: ), and exercise. These will help you lose the weight, get good quality sleep, and be less tired. When you aren't eating properly, not exercising, not drinking enough water, then you get tired and then you have no energy to plan a healthy meal much less get thee behind to the gym so ... vicious cycle.0 -
If you decide to have your doctor do some blood tests, consider checking your B-12 level. Mine was in the normal range, but on the very low side of normal. I've been taking NOW brand liquid Ultra B-12 and do not feel so tired all the time. Which allows me to exercise more, which increases my energy, which allows..................you get the picture! Good luck with figuring this out because always feeling tired just plain sucks. :flowerforyou:0

Can we start simple and ask how many calories are you eating (what is your per week weight loss goals) and can you open your diary?
Allergies, blood work and medical conditions should be secondary to eating enough calories and nutritious foods.0 -
well I've just started--today officially makes day 1 so there is not much to see. I would be happy with a .5 to 1 pound loss per week, and I know I have to step it up in order to lose weight. I am going to eat properly and exercise and drink plenty of water and see if that helps me to feel better. If I dont feel better in a few weeks then I will go for a physical---now that I think about it...its time for one anyway!0

What I meant was what did you set at your goal in the system to come up with your calorie goal? Is your calorie goal 1200 calories?
My point is, many people set their online goal at 2 lbs per week, what they don't understand is it can be too aggressive. Below is what most people should follow.
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.0 -
1430 is my calories for the day.0

try a B12 supplement in the morning. I take 2000mcg timed release, and I definitely notice the difference when I don't take it! (Bonus: it's known to boost your mood as well! )0

I have similar problems, I literally want to sleep all the time. Left alone I can easily sleep 12 hours and I mean sleep it too. I've been doing the diet for 3 days now and have my calories set at 1350 but I do have a lot to lose so can stand the 2lb a week target. I think my problem is iron deficiency as I've always been borderline anaemic so I probably need to be taking the pills agin, but I absolutely hate what they do to you! Looks like I'd better get over that though! Maybe you shoukd try a blood test and see if you're deficient too? Good luck with it0

Doesn't look to bad. I guess eating better foods, like you suggested, will probably help. It's hard to tell without seeing your diary or knowing your height, weight and age to provide more feedback.0 -
Hi,
I was that way for years (I have been tested many times over the years for anything that would cause it and every test result came back nornal), but just a few months ago my boyfriend noticed that when I have a lot of caffine (soda, candy ect) that I'm wired for hours and by the time I go to sleep it was late and everything was screwed up. At the time I felt I had to have caffine to stay awake. What else could I do. Well my boyfriend mentioned that I should lower my caffine intake and see how it goes. It's worth a shot. Well it has made a big difference. I'm not as tired (does take sometime to adjust) and I feel better. I would try changing this and see how you feel.0 -
You sound a lot like me before I started exercising, eating healthier and drinking more water. I just want to tell you if you're planning to start exercising regularly don't be surprised if you seem to feel even more tired for a couple weeks. That happened to me when I first started exercising a few months ago...it was a little frustrating at first because I would workout a few days a week and for the rest of the day could barely keep my eyes open. Don't get discouraged! It will get better! I think it took about 3 weeks before I started feeling like the exercising was giving me more energy...I guess it just took a little while for my body to adjust.0
