Apple Watch and My Fitness Pal

I have a pretty large discrepancy for how many calories my Apple Watch says I’ve burned as my active calories throughout the day and the number of calories My Fitness Pal is saying I burned. What is the reason for this? Should I just level up my activity level to compensate?

I am having the same problem. I know after doing a 1 hr class and then 40 min on elliptical I burned more than 366cals. It says I had 21,000 steps. Very annoying!0

The sync between apple and MFP is faulty. It is recommended that you use a third party app called Pacer. Unlink the watch with MFP, link it to Pacer, and then link Pacer to MFP. Pacer has a free version.
This is what I do and I find that the exercise adjustment is about 90 percent right on pure movement days. On days that I allow the watch to track my strength training the adjustment is off so I usually just deduct most of what it thinks I have burned during that activity.1 -
I will try that. Thanks!0
