Fast bruising WITHOUT impact

Has anyone here ever experienced bruising, pain and swelling WITHOUT getting hit, galling or bumping into anything?
I’m typically quite active, lots of cardio with no problem and eat healthy for the most part.
I went for a 6 mile walk today and when I returned home I noticed all of the above from the knees down to my feet.

I bruise more easily when my anemia is not well controlled, but there was still impact. I'd see a doctor. Good luck and let us know what it was.

Thanks for the response and article link.
I don’t eat red meat often (probably only 5 times/year) so maybe I’m not getting enough iron. Taking ibuprofen and putting some heat on both legs, hopefully that’s helps.
If it gets worse I’ll definitely see a doctor and post what they say.0 -
See your doctor, it is not normal for bruising to appear like that suddenly with no impact. Better safe than sorry.8

I'll just add, are you sure you didn't bump into something in the prior days?
Sometimes takes a couple of days for bruising to come out after an impact.

Heat on bruising seems like it would make it worse. How about ice?1

Doctor said it’s a musculoskeletal injury most likely from trying to sprint the uphills off my walk after not running for quite awhile. Alternating ice and heat helped the pain and swelling go away and the bruising to greatly improve.
Lesson learned....a 48 year old body does not cooperate as well as a younger one.5 -
OP did not include that you tried to sprint uphill for the first time in ages.
Heat and ibuprofen usually make bruising worse. Typically you need ice/cold pack for bruising. Ibuprofen has a blood thinning effect that can cause bleeding tendencies.1 -
I DID end up doing more icing than heat(great mostly at night for pain). Bruising is almost completely gone.5
