Hi all,
Previously - for years - MFP had calcium in mg- the standard measurement and only measurement of calcium given on UK food items.
I have calcium deficiency due to food allergies and rely on the mg feature as I need to have more calcium ‘than average person’
Anyone know what 100% is according to mfp?!
Eg I used to have 200ml alpro soya milk or 200 ml almond breeze at 120mg
An alpro dessert 100g - 120mg
Lactofree cheese 30g - 207mg

Now I tried adding a new flavour with calcium (no one adds calcium / vit D on 🙄) and it’s asking a % nonsense - where am I gonna find out what % when % varies on personal required intake?

Any ideas anyone? Or if anyone knows why mfp suddenly decided to change this from something concrete and measurable to a ‘rough guess of averages’

Thanks all

My understanding is that 100% is the RDA in the US for the "default" population (women 18 to 50 and men 18 to 70). That's 1,000 mg. I've always seen it expressed in percentages on database entries and in my personal reporting.
