Help! I want to binge so bad!

I am 60 yrs. old and have been on MFP for 7 months and lost 17 lbs. I know that is not a lot, but I have worked hard and I am happy about it. I have 23 lbs. left to lose. My problem tonight is I want to binge--I want to make waffles and eat them with lots of butter and syrup. Haha. I have already eaten all of my 1600 calories for the day. How do you deal with these horrible cravings? (Other than go for a walk, take a bath, brush your teeth, etc.)

Don't give in if eating waffles will make you feel unhappy or guilty. Look at your week over all. Can you fit in the calories? If you have wiggle room in the week overall, one day going a little over isn't going to tank you weight loss. So long as it's only one day, and only every once in a while.

I've been sitting here thinking about what is triggering me. My husband has metastatic cancer but has been tumor-free for 6 months. He is having scans done this Wed. Duh. I will try to think about something else. Thanks for the encouragment. You have good points. I think I will choose not to give in!

Good for you! Have a bubble bath, or watch your favourite show, read your favourite book. I was stressing this week waiting for my dad's MRI results and definitely didn't make all the best food choices but it made me feel better to keep under my calorie goals.
