Munchies

What are your tips to fight the late night munchies? Especially while we are all in quarantine and less active?

I’ll do one or more of the following - make sure I have it in my calorie allotment to eat, drink water, brush my teeth, don’t bring the things in my house I can’t control to begin with, or let the feeling pass. Sometimes just thinking about how I’ll feel afterwards is enough for me to stop. The “treat” at the time is not worth it afterwards.

Not easy, tho. I’m right there with ya!

I always save 15-20% of my daily calories for an after dinner snack, including treats. I pre-log them early in the day so that they fit with the rest of my planned foods within my calorie goal, and I eat these fairly close to bed time. I can still have late-night food, I just put some healthy parameters around it so i can still stay within my goals.

Small grapefruit... Try it. I use to detest grapefruits. Now I’m a fiend about it. Will split a big one with my wife...
