Hi everyone. I’m highly allergic to nickel and am looking for nickel free recipes.
Items high in nickel include; legumes which includes no green beans, no peas, no beans of any kind; no chocolate, seafood, potatoes, nuts, and grains.
Thank you for your contributions.

I've never really thought about how much nickel is in foods until I read your post. Here's a link to a paper that talks about it:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3667300/
Apparently black and green teas and coffee are high in nickel, so those should be avoided. Also if you're that sensitive you shouldn't cook acidic foods in stainless steel pans or consume canned goods.
Sorry, that looks like a pretty restrictive list. Off the top of my head, an omelette (even a Spanish one) would be good, and steak with a side of potato gratin would probably be allowed. According to the paper I linked, potatoes are allowed.
Hopefully someone else has a similar issue and can offer tips and recipes. Best of luck to you :flowerforyou:
