Sounds like a ridiculous waste of money.11

Assuming it works it is a faulty premise.
It would require discipline to use the spray to deny yourself the pleasure of the food you are eating. If you have enough discipline to use the spray you have enough discipline not to need it. If you do not have a better system in place what is to keep you from walking right past the bottle and getting the food you are craving once the novelty of using the spray wears off?
Also, you may think you are craving sugar but what you may be is craving the sugar and fat combination.
Lastly if you do not have a medical reason and you can moderate the food you crave then it is better to indulge a little and fit it in your daily/weekly calories.

I always read 1 star reviews and look for trends. If there are varied reasons for the bad reviews, that gives me more confidence. In this case all the 1 star reviews say the product doesn't work: https://smile.amazon.com/product-reviews/B07DR7NTFR/ref=acr_dp_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&reviewerType=all_reviews#reviews-filter-bar
Additionally, lots of the 5 star reviews seem fake.10 -
Seems like a plug for some expensive “diet” program. Count calories on MFP. Cost a lot less and very effective!2

This reminds me of that awful stuff my mom used to put on my fingernails to keep me from biting them. Didn’t work at all, and heaven help me if I forgot and rubbed my eyes. Yow!!!!!!!
Some of the first reviews said it deadened your tastebuds. That’s the last thing I’d want to put at risk. Granny lost her sense of taste from all the asthma drugs she was on back in the day, and she used to talk about how she longed to taste things again.
Just suck it up. By the end of a month, fruit will be so sweet you’ll not miss the candy at all.3 -

Yep, I would never buy a seemingly amazing or innovative product on Amazon based on 5-star reviews. There is simply too much review gaming/fraud out there.
I apply this standard to most weight loss products/services: Sugar cravings are a major reason many people fail to meet their weight loss goals. If there truly was a product we could spray on our tongue to end them, wouldn't that be big news? Wouldn't doctors be talking to patients about it? Wouldn't we regularly be meeting people, in real life, who had used the product and achieved long-lasting and sustainable results? A product that allowed us to easily manage our cravings for cake and soda and candy would be a major development that we'd be hearing about everywhere.2
