Hi all
So here I am in the aftermath of a life changing experience.

On the 7th May 2013 I got the biggest shock of my life in the form of blood clots in both lungs. The person who always said "It won’t happen to me I will never be sick" well folks it did!
But why me? I am still searching for answers that I may never get, anyway I am here now and it’s time to get on with it! No more excuses! No more oh I will start tomorrow.

I have always had an active job and a fairly active lifestyle but as the years pressed on I noticed a decline in my enthusiasm to keep myself in shape, No surprises when the scales tipped 240lbs.

Those 5 days lying in ER really gave me the time i needed to plan my mode of attack and get well again

I have kept myself in the background just logging and reading the wealth of info that is out there which has helped me enourmously :)
It has been fantastic finding MFP and after leaving hospital the weight has been falling off, even with the small amount of exercise I am allowed to do.

I have never been this focused on food in my whole life and probably never eaten this healthy.

Thanks MFP and thanks to the friends i have made here for sharing their knowledge
