Hello out there - I'm back for maybe the billionth time and am reaching out for support this time rather than internalizing everything and trying to go it alone (terrible choice, I know).
After watching one friend lose 40lbs in about 6 months and another lose 60 in about a year doing it the old fashion way with a better diet and exercise, it finally hit me smack in the face that it IS possible to lose weight and improve your lifestyle the right way and that all these times I've tried before I either had expectations that were way too high and unreasonable, did it totally wrong or didn't REALLY try as hard as I know I can.
I "started" this journey way back in January and lost 17lbs but then kind of fell off again and gained back almost 10 of those in just a matter of a few months. Just goes to show you how you can't really ever take your eye off the ball!
I'm getting back into again and this time doing it right by 1) reaching out for support from all of you going through the same thing as me 2) FOR REAL cleaning up my diet and not tolerating my former "it's okay to cheat if it's only once a day!" and 3) forcing myself to stick to a workout routine and even on days I need to rest, do SOMETHING active even if its taking a walk.
So hello once again MFP and hello to everyone out there starting, restarting or continuing their journey to a better lifestyle! WE CAN DO THIS![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Weight that finally pushed me to do something: 185.5
Current weight: 173.2
Goal Weight: 140 (I'm 5"6 btw with, I think, an average normal frame)
Long way to go but I think I'm finally ready for the challenge!
