Hey, hope everyones doing well! I've decided to take the initiative and start the Insanity Workout but can't seem to figure out how much to eat. Where I live and all, I can't get a lot of the ingredients on the Elite Nutrition plan. Also, according to the guide (Harris Benedict Equation), I should be eating 3000 calories and I feel like thats way too high, I'm not sure. Im a male weighing 236lbs (107kg) and am 6ft 1. I've got some time at home to myself and wanna make the most of this workout and lose as much fat I can and need to know how to eat for this. Id also really appreciate some guidance on macros. Thanks very much everyone for the help and guidance!

Why do you feel 3,000 calories is too high? For some activity levels, 3,000 would be too much. For others, it would result in weight loss. I'm not familiar with how Insanity calculates nutritional goals, but have you considered getting your calorie goal from MFP? I lost my weight with their estimates, so it's the one that I have the most experience with.5

You should not base your calories on feelings. You should base them on a reasonably good starting estimate and then eventually based on your results. Harris Benedict is an older model though and likely to be a touch high. You are better off using MFP's numbers or a Mifflin St. Jeor estimate.
After you have about 6 weeks of results determine if you are eating more or less than you need. It should not be radically different but it may need some tweaking.5 -
As others have said, use MFP to get a calorie goal. That's pre-exercise, so on days you do Insanity or some other exercise you will want to log it and eat back the cals. Often the cals for something like Insanity are overstated, especially if you are a beginner, so you might want to eat back 75% or something like that initially.4

Insanity is an intense program which you need to eat more for or you will feel depleted2
