I’m trying to be healthy. I’m 43 years old heart patient and on oxygen. I struggle at exercise especially cardio. I’m at a loss of what I can do. I’m open to any suggestions. Ty

It also depends on what you mean by being healthy.

If you're talking about weight loss, you can accomplish that without exercise, you just need to burn more calories than you consume.

And of course, consult a doctor to make sure that you don't do anything to jeopardize your health.

Here's the first paragraph of an article I recently read--- There is almost no disease that exercise doesn't benefit. As such, just because you've had a heart attack, a weak heart (congestive heart failure) or other heart disease, doesn't mean that you have to sit around and do nothing. In fact, with regular exercise (greater than 150 minutes a week), you may hasten your recovery, improve heart function and even get off of some of the medications you're on.

Take a look at this article. I think it will give you some great info. Once you've had your visit with the doctor to get specifics on what you can do and should not do, go to YouTube and find 3-4 videos that will work for you. Every exercise plan has their #1 item in common -- Stretch first. I use a stretching video every morning after breakfast. It helps keep me flexible and gets me warmed up for starting my first exercise video. I do -- Richard Simmons Stretchin' to the Classics ... stretches every part of the body slowly and gently ... lovely music ... and, Richard does NOT talk. lovely and peaceful to do.

    Good Luck!! :)
