New to MFP so please be gentle.
My wife made a delicious soup the other day and we ate about a half of it. How do I create a meal from this and then tell it I consumed 1/3 of it? Do I enter each foot first (1 can, Campbells cream of chicken soup) and then combine them?

Usually I log all the ingredients separately into my diary as a whole and then once I see the total calories it is, I divide that by how many calories I want that meal to be.
So when I made my chicken soup, I weighed all my meat and veggies, logged them, logged the stock mix as well, and decided each serving was going to be x number of calories, in my case, around 500 per bowl was what it worked out to, and when I divided the total by 500 it gave me 6 servings, so I knew how many containers to portion out and put in the fridge
Then I just create a food.. but dont make it public and log that, along with any other macros I may be interested in tracking.
I never really liked the recipe builder on this app but you can also try that and see if you like it0
