Why?! Why is losing weight so hard!

It's simple, but not easy.
Simple - because all you have to do to lose weight is to eat fewer calories in a day than your body needs.
Not easy - Well, because life. :laugh:
Set up your stats on this website. Choose to lose 1 pound per week. Eat that many calories each day. That is all you have to do. No special diets, no special exercise. No shakes, no pills, no detox teas or other woo.
Make small changes you can sustain. Maybe the first change is to cut out one caloried drink per day (soda, mocha, whatever). Keep up that change until it feels normal. Then make one other small change, maybe a 10 minute walk per day. Keep up that change until it feels like a normal habit. Then make another small change... Rinse and repeat.
