So here is the skinny. Imagine you are 21 years old, overweight by 90 lbs, ankle problems that need surgery to fix, and you are going through a divorce with a child involved. Now take all that and you are working in fast food, going back to school, and are in constant pain all the time from the ankle problems you have. Well i'm going through all these things and the only person that is giving me some sort of solace is seeing my child's videos on the ex-wife's Instagram and Facebook and whatever social media platform they are on right now. The ex-wife is also keeping me from seeing the child even as i am typing this. I am handling my business through working, investing, and budgeting as much as i can. I live with my parents again thankfully and they have always been great support to me even when taking me back into their home. I'm trying to discipline myself on how much i eat by intermittent fasting but it hasn't proven any real results since i work in fast food and i tend to get lazy which is no excuse but i'm working on it. My question to y'all is how do i get the weight down without causing any more pain and amidst of this stupid virus keeping us all at bay?

To lose weight you need a calorie deficit. How you do that is up to you. Do you have a digital food scale? Are you weighing and measuring everything you eat and drink? MFP will give you your daily calorie goal. That's what you eat--everyday. If you want to eat fast food, OK, but it usually eats up your calorie budget. Fruits and vegetables will fill you up for less calories. Protein is necessary to retain muscle mass. This isn't hard, but you need to get organized. If you can exercise without stressing your ankle it can help with muscle mass. Everyone has to find their way. Good luck.
