1200 calories is the minimum you should be eating. Remember to log any exercise separate, and eat back those calories. If you only want to lose 40 lbs 1 lb a week is healthy weight loss.

Hello Kristen -
I would be happy to share in your journey and provide mutual motivation. I am new to really using this app - I have only used it to log weight and keep track of food consumption. This is only my 2nd message. Let me know how you would like to work to provide motivation - some accountability metric? I have been working on weight loss for about 6 weeks now, and it has gone well except for this past Sunday - I enjoy eating a good ham, but the salt and the quantity both were both more than I needed. I should have looked at this component of the app long ago - it is a great asset. I look forward to sharing in our weight-loss/healthy living journey.
